A young boy came to Richardsons Dental and Craniofacial Hospital for Trauma treatment with a history of fall off his bike five days ago. He didn’t have any obvious complaint apart from pain on the right side of his lower jaw and in front of his left ear. Even his occlusion was normal. A cone-beam CT scan was done for him which revealed a right parasymphysis and left subcondylar fracture of his lower jaw. Due to the multiple fractures, we decided to treat at least one of them by plating.
The right parasymphysis fracture was plated using an intra-oral approach which would leave no scar on his face. Intermaxillary fixation with light elastics was also done for him. He was discharged the same day and resumed with semisolid diet as well
